In this Raised Bed Gardening Webinar, I will talk about the new types of raised beds you can buy or build, the best soil/compost to use, some novel growing techniques.
In my new Raised Bed Gardening Webinar, I’ll also include information on unusual raised beds such as straw bale gardens, hugelkultur and keyhole raised beds. So, come join me!
Webinars are a great way to see and hear me speak without leaving the comfort of your own home! Plus, you get a recording of the webinar to watch as many times as you like.
It seems most home gardens I see these days are raised beds. That’s great because the benefits of raised bed gardening are many. the sol drains water and warms up faster in spring, you can plant most intensively with less weeds, you can build the soil fertility easier and you don’t compact the soil by walking on it. But raised bed gardening is more than just one foot tall wooden beds. New materials, such as metal, composite plastics and pavers, allow you to match the right plants to the bed. You can also adjust your topsoil/compost mix based on your soil and plants and use novel planting techniques, such as polyculture, to grow a wider variety of plants in a smaller space.
In this Raised Bed Gardening Webinar, I’ll talk about these aspects of raised bed gardening and include information on how to build unusual raised beds such as straw bale gardens and hugelkultur mounds. It’s all about using the materials you might have on hand and matching the right beds to the plants you want to grow.
