Castles and Gardens of Scotland Tour

 September 9th to 17th, 2025

 

 

Free Dunrobin Castle photo and pictureScotland has its own unique brand of gardens influenced by the sea and the highlands. We’ll start in Edinburgh, exploring this historic city, castles and seeing private and public gardens in town and in the countryside. At many of these gardens we’ll have a chance to meet with the gardeners themselves about the joys and challenges of gardening in Scotland.
We’ll then head north to Pitlochry (visiting a castle and garden along the way) and spend the day at one of the classic Highland Games. These annual, outdoor games feature traditional competitions such as tug o’ war, hammer, caber and haggis tossing, traditional dancing, drumming, bagpiping and more. What a fun way to spend an autumn day in the Highlands! We’ll then travel to Inverness to visit more private and Horticultural Trust Gardens and take a boat ride on Loch Ness (looking for the monster!). 
If you’re interested, you can sign up with a totally refundable $100 deposit to save a seat on the tour.
